Privacy Policy (Ramen Bookmarker)
Last updated: September 27, 2026
"Ramen Bookmarker" (the "App") is an iOS app provided by an independent developer (the "Developer") that lets you search for ramen shops by your location, a shop name, or a place, and keep bookmarks, visit logs, and photos of shops. This policy explains how the App handles information.
1. Information collected by the Developer
- The Developer does not operate any servers and does not collect, store, or view any information about users of the App.
- The App does not show ads, perform analytics, or track users.
2. Use of location
- The App reads your device's location only when you search by "Nearby".
- That location (and the area name derived from it) is sent to the external service described below (Google's Gemini API) to search for nearby ramen shops.
- The App never stores your location.
3. Data sent to an external service (Gemini API)
- The App uses Google's Gemini API (its feature that references Google Maps data) to search for shops and load shop details. When searching, the shop name or place you enter, or the location described in section 2, is sent.
- Requests are sent directly from your device to Google using the API key you obtained and entered yourself. They never pass through the Developer.
- Google's privacy policy and terms apply to the data sent.

- From your photo library, the App reads only the photos you select (it does not request access to your whole library).
- Photos you take or select are resized and stored only on your device; they are never sent anywhere.
